Cage dominates, throwing Mack all over the ring. I know nothing of Ninja Mack, having never seen him wrestle before getting squashed by Brian Cage here. Fun, fast-paced opener with innovative offense that kept the crowd buzzing. So is SW3RVE, and he puts Zayne away with the JML Driver. Back in the ring he hits shooting star knees to the back, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen before either. Zayne does something I’ve never seen before, landing a crazy poison rana from the apron to the floor. Honestly, some of the cuts that WWE made during their firing spree made some degree of sense, but I can’t imagine how they saw nothing in both of these guys, especially SW3RVE. Both men can work that quick-moving style, but they’re also good mat wrestlers too. They work a fast pace with a lot of offense early on. Zayne appears to be some sort of pirate now. Starting the main show with SW3RVE and Zayne is a good choice. Gresham has been the Champion since 12.11.21, and this was his fifteenth defense.

ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham defeats Bandido (w/ Chavo Guerrero) at 24:55 to retain the title.

Woods had been the Champion since 9.12.21, and this was his eighth defense.

Wheeler YUTA defeats ROH Pure Champion Josh Woods to win the title at 12:55.

Titus had been the Champion since 12.11.21, and this was his second defense.

Minoru Suzuki defeats ROH World Television Champion Rhett Titus at 6:00 to win the title.

Jay and Mark had been the Champions since 12.11.21, and this was their third defense.

FTR ( Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) defeat ROH World Tag Team Champions The Briscoes ( Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe) to win the titles at 27:25.

Mercedes Martinez defeats Willow Nightingale at 12:45 to become the Interim ROH World Women’s Champion.

Jay Lethal defeats Lee Moriarty (w/ Matt Sydal) at 14:50.

Brian Cage (w/ Tully Blanchard) defeats Ninja Mack at 2:50.

SW3RVE The Realest defeats Alex Zayne at 11:40.

~Supercard of Honor 2022 Results and Star Ratings~ They cap off the preshow with an enjoyable match that Castle won with the Bang-a-Rang. These two have been on again off again partners and opponents in ROH, so they should know each other pretty well.

Neither Dalton Castle nor Joe Hendry has a spot in AEW waiting for them as far as I know, but I still think they’re both neat. Blanchard’s team dominates here, and Kaun gets the pin on Isom after throwing him in the air and dropping him with a Samoan Spike. I liked Khan as part of Shane Taylor Promotions, but I’ve not seen Liona before. Tully Blanchard introduced his new team, Toa Liona & Kaun, henceforth known as Gates of Agony. So guess who wins? A.Q.A does, with a really nice Shooting Star Press. A.Q.A is a former WWE developmental talent now under contract to AEW. Alize had been one of the better performers in ROH’s women’s division, even making it to the finals of the Women’s Title tournament, losing to recent WWE-signee Rok-C. Fun opener.Ī.Q.A and Miranda Alize followed the opener with another good match. They end up on the top rope, and Cabana puts Christian on his shoulders and drops him down horizontally across the top turnbuckle to get the pin.

The makeover begins right away, as the “Hour One” pre-show has now become “Zero Hour.” Colt Cabana and Blake Christian had a spiffy little match to kick off the show, with Christian scoring some really impressive offense.
